Okavango Delta
Okavango Delta (often misspelled as "Okakgango") is one of the world's most extraordinary natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Botswana. It's the largest inland delta on Earth, where the Okavango River fans out into a labyrinth of permanent and seasonal channels, islands, lagoons, floodplains, and mopane woodlands—creating a lush oasis in the middle of the arid Kalahari Desert. Spanning about 15,000–18,000 km² at peak flood (roughly the size of Switzerland), it supports an incredibly diverse ecosystem with some of Africa's highest wildlife densities.
